All MIJNO low backlash planetary gearboxes have been designed to provide a minimum of 20,000 hours lifetime in both directions of rotation including 20% of the lifetime in acceleration / deceleration, with the combined maximal radial and axial forces featured in our datasheet. if you use less than these values, the theoretical (calculated) lifetime increases exponentially, possibly up to hundreds of thousands of hours. Upon request we can make the calculation of the theoretical lifetime of your product based on your application needs. Do not hesitate if you are not sure of your product selection, our application specialists will be happy to assist you and confirm your axis calculations (gearbox + pinion + wheel or rack) and propose possible improvements.

MRP Range

CHARACTERISTIcS of the MRP range

The MRP is a low backlash planetary gearbox designed for continuous or low-acceleration servo applications. 2 radial bearings on the output shaft provide high acceptance of radial loads (like a spur pinion or a belt).This range offers:
  • 5 sizes from 5 Nm to 290Nm (continuous)
  • Low backlash (15, 12 or 10 min depending on size and selected option)
  • Convenient output interface, which enables centering on the bearing, for a perfect shaft concentricity.
  • Shaft with or without keyway (with a DIN332D threaded hole standard)
  • IP 54 protection

MRA Range

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MRA RANGE 5 sizes up to 600 Nm rated for low backlash in dynamic applications.
  • All our satellite gears are case hardened to 60 HRC and ground to class DIN 6 to 5 - AGMA 12 to 13
  • They are cantilever supported on hardened and ground shafts.
  • All our backlashes are guaranteed 30,000 hours.
  • All our satellite gears feature Rotaxe® tooth profile modification. This reduces friction, increases lifetime and offers quietest operation.
  • All key components are manufactured in house under strict quality management.

Our products can be designed and manufactured in a large variety of combinations, with custom designs that can be optimized to meet or exceed your specialized requirements. Please contact our Applications Engineering department who can design a custom system to meet your requirements. We only need to know your choice of motor, the acceleration, linear speed and strength you need, as well as your requirement for angular or linear precision - we’ll do the rest ! We can securely fasten the rack pinion on a gearhead shaft upon request and deliver the whole set (gearbox, gear, racks that are guaranteed to work together). The particularly quiet and precise running of gearbox-pinion-rack sets is ensured by :
  • The use of precision ground teeth in our gearboxes according to DIN class 6 to 5 accuracy.
  • Rack and pinions with ground teeth include a proprietary modification of the tooth profile called “ROTAXE™”, developed for high speed applications. This modification offers smooth operation while reducing wear, you will hear the difference.
